Description[]
The GSX-R 600 is consistently among the top finishers in stock-bike supersport races. For higher power through better combustion efficiency at high r.p.m., the 600 features such performance-enhancers as light titanium valves and a narrow included valve angle.
Tricked out for supersport races, this GSX-R 600 has a compression ratio increased to 14:1 (with displacement unchanged) and a racing-programmed electronic control unit. The titanium exhaust pipe is fitted with a carbon-composite silencer. The result is 10 percent more power at high r.p.m.s than the stock engine.
For more braking force to control that extra power, the brakes are fitted with upgraded pads and rotors, although the calipers are stock. The fork's inner parts have been replaced, and so have the suspension kits (other than the mounts and linkages).
The end result is a true Suzuki supersport that's exciting to ride and that's built to utilise every ounce of its considerable engine power.
