In-game Description[]
"A stouter Jimny with an eye on global success."
While the Suzuki Jimny may adhere to Japan's kei-car regulations due to its compact size, beneath its modest exterior lies a surprisingly rugged off-roader built on a genuine ladder-frame chassis. The Jimny Sierra, designed for global markets, preserves the Jimny's off-road capability while shedding the limitations imposed by kei-car requirements.
Launched in 2018, the JB74 chassis marked the third generation since the model's inception in 1994. Compared to its predecessor, the JB43, the JB74 was slightly shorter by 2.0 inches and wider by 1.8 inches, with a bold, squared-off design that further emphasized its tough, utilitarian character. Under the hood was a 1460 cc inline-4 DOHC engine, the K15B, delivering 100.6 HP and 96.2 ft-lb of torque. While these numbers may not seem overwhelming, the engine's steady low-end torque made it exceptionally well-suited for off-road crawling.
The vehicle featured a part-time 4-wheel drive system with a mechanical transfer case, complemented by rigid axles front and rear. This robust suspension ensured the vehicle performed just as confidently scaling rock as it did cruising on asphalt.
For the Japanese market, the top-tier JC trim offered a host of premium features, including LED headlights, 15-inch alloy wheels, and the option for a striking black roof panel.
Dealership (GT7)[]
The Suzuki Jimny is best known as the Japan's kei-car off-road par excellence. The Jimny that broke the kei-car mold was the Sierra, designed for the global market. This Jimny Sierra is the third-gen model, known as the JB74. Its rugged-yet-boxy stance is quite attractive, wouldn't you say? While the original Jimny had a mere 660 cc displacement, the Sierra possessed a 1.5-liter engine capable of 100.6 HP. Thanks to its part-time 4WD system and rigid suspension in the front and rear, the Sierra offers sublime handling. The JC grade refers to a Japanese trim that includes LED headlamps and alloy wheels as standard fare.
