In-game Description[]
This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:
The Chaser was the sportiest of the MkII models first unveiled under the "Sedan Innovation" theme in September 1996. Taking the Chaser as its base car, TRD has added a full complement of high-performance parts to create "Chaser TRD Sports" models. These Chaser-based TRD models have appeared in three types. The smallest one is the Tourer TRD Sports model, which has a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine, the Tourer S TRD Sports is the next model, with a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine, and then comes the top grade model, the Tourer V TRD Sports, which boasts a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. On the exterior, these cars feature TRD's large front aero bumper, large rear spoiler, rear bumper spoiler, and front radiator grille. Their sporty appearance is even further enhanced with the addition of CIBIE fog lamps and the distinctive emblems of TRD Sports. As for the well-appointed interior, check out the leather-encased shift knob and the many other luxurious parts. Additional TRD tuning parts are available to raise the Chaser TRD Sports to an even higher level of performance. Each driver can pick and choose the parts needed to transform this car into a truly sporty sedan.
