The TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03 is a car based on the seventh-gen Toyota Celica SS-II, tuned by TRIAL. It appears in Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, Gran Turismo 4, Gran Turismo PSP, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6.

TRIAL is a Japanese tuning company known for its high-speed creations. However, it started building cars with all-round performance, those that could turn as well as going fast in a straight line. One such example was its interpretation of the Celica. The car was created to battle tuned versions of the Honda Civic and Integra in a magazine comparison story. Therefore, every precaution was made for it not to be upstaged by its rivals.
TRIAL increased displacement of the 1ZZ engine's to 2.0 litres and on top of that, bolted a supercharger onto the inline-4. The motor's VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) was retuned via Power FC, and an F-CON V PRO fuel and ignition controller was installed. TRIAL made sure that the Celica would have high speed coming out of corner exits, so the engine was tuned to supply lots of low-end torque — the supercharger kicked in only when the accelerator was almost flat on the floor.
The suspension kit had been created by One-Off and utilised shocks by Quantum. The system was tuned to dial out most of the car's natural understeering tendencies, while displaying minimal body roll. The result was neutral handling balance with tenacious grip. The interior was all but stripped, and the windscreen and front windows were manufactured in acrylic, all done to reduce the weight to less than 1 tonne.
