Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese car company that has been featured in every Gran Turismo game except in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, where their luxury marque Lexus was instead featured. It is famous for building affordable family cars, such as the Corolla, which is the world's best-selling vehicle nameplate, with over 40 million cars sold worldwide. In the past, it is also famous for creating three sports cars: the MR2 (a compact sports car with a mid-engine layout), the Celica (a compact liftback sports car, famous for winning rallies), and the Supra (a grand tourer, with production being revived in 2019). Today, Toyota puts emphasis on eco-friendly and hybrid cars, which dates back to 1997 when Toyota introduced the Prius, the world's first mass-produced hybrid car.
Along with Mazda and Genesis, Toyota is a Gran Turismo World Series sponsor, granting them guaranteed entry in the Manufacturer's Cup. Through their Gazoo Racing division, Toyota also organizes the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup esports series.

Trivia[]
- The theme music for the Toyota dealership in the NTSC-J version of GT1 would be subsequently remixed for GT2 as the East City theme of Gran Turismo Mode, known as "From the East", and as one of the menu themes in GT4, known as "From the East to the West".
- Despite not appearing in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as a playable brand, a Toyota Mark II trackside prop appears in that game (noticeably on High Speed Ring), and would also later appear in GT5 and GT6 with a gray color variant,
- in GT5, the Toyota HiMedic first appears in that game in many colors as well as the Toyota GranVia.
- In GT Sport, two new scenery cars, the Toyota Probox and HiAce, were added in both 1.31 and 1.34 versions of the game.
- In GT4, there was also an older Toyota HiAce model in one of the photo mode locations.
- In GT Sport, two new scenery cars, the Toyota Probox and HiAce, were added in both 1.31 and 1.34 versions of the game.
- From late 2017 to late 2019, Toyota disallowed a majority of non-Japanese game developers from including Toyota production cars. Polyphony Digital, being a Japanese game developer, was not restricted by this decision, and so their games still included Toyota vehicles. This also affected vehicles from the Lexus and Scion marques as they also were not included in the non-Japanese made games during this period.
- This restriction ended when Forza Horizon 4 marked their official return to the series after Horizon 3 since late 2019 (although the brand did appear in said game prior to that through other licenses) with the Toyota SUPRA RZ '97.
- The Subaru BRZ S '15 (if included) was the only exception as it is the rebadged version of the Toyota 86 with differences in the suspension setup.
- In the FIA Gran Turismo Championship/Gran Turismo World Series, Toyota is the first repeat winner of the Manufacturers Series/Cup, when it did so in 2019 and 2021.
- As of GT7 version 1.50, Toyota is one of the three manufacturers (the others being Audi and Nissan) with cars in all racing classes (Gr.B, Gr.4, Gr.3, Gr.2, and Gr.1) with the addition of the Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 as a Gr.2 class car.
