Description[]

"Looking for a sports car that was developed specially for motorsports? Then the Toyota Celica GT-Four should be right up your alley! It's a 4WD sports car, developed by Toyota in the 1990s in order to win the World Rally Championship. The grade name—GT-Four—serves as proof of this. The original Celica was a two-wheel-drive coupé, but the GT-Four is a four-wheel drive rally machine. The engine's a mighty beast as well. It's a 2L 3S-GTE, developed in conjunction with the GT-Four over successive generations. It packs a massive 251.5 BHP of power!"

Car Index[]

The sixth-generation Toyota Celica, introduced in October 1993, solidified the model's image as the world's most popular front-wheel-drive sports coupés. The styling direction of the new model took a wild turn of the better, highlighted by a svelte roofline and a distinctive front fascia that featured four round headlights.

The car was powered by either 3S-GE, a 182.4 HP 2.0-liter DOHC inline 4 in the SS-II model, or the 3S-FE that produced 138 HP in the SS-I. The suspension system consisted of struts all around and disc brakes at all four corners.

In February 1994, Toyota introduced the Celica GT-Four to serve as a base for its World Rally Championship race car. The GT-Four is now known as the ultimate performance Celica, equipped with aluminum hood and a rear spoiler, with a powerful 221.8 3S-GTE turbocharged 2.0-liter powerplant.

Trivia[]

  • Although not mentioned in-game, this model is actually the GT-FOUR WRC Limited Edition. It is identifiable by the air scoop on the rear end of its hood and the raised rear spoiler; the latter became a standard feature in 1997.
  • If the Type B license plate option is installed in GT Auto, the rear license plate holder will change to match the wider, European/British sized plates.
  • Its Type A wing is based on the TRD aftermarket wing, and Type B is based on the wing that is standard on the normal GT-Four model in that model year; this particular wing was installed on the 1995 Celica GT-Four that was featured in GT1.
