The Toyota Crown Athlete G Safety Car is, as the name implies, a safety car variant of the Toyota Crown Athlete G '13. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport (as part of Update 1.53) and Gran Turismo 7.

Description[]

Dealership (GT7)[]

This safety car is a Gran Turismo exclusive based on the Toyota Crown Athlete G. It features a distinctive yellow body and a blue revolving rooftop light. The Crown is known for its high level of safety features in Japan and is also the car of choice for the national police force.

Acquisition[]

GT Sport[]

Unlike most cars in the game, this car is not available for purchase in Brand Central. This car can only be obtained by exchanging 5000 Mileage Points in the Mileage Exchange section when available, but can be on special for less.

Due to Mileage Exchange being discontinued as part of the end of Gran Turismo Sport's online services, this car is no longer obtainable legitimately.

GT7[]

This car can be purchased in the Toyota section of Brand Central for 65,000 Credits.

Trivia[]

Crown Athlete SC red light

The Crown Athlete G Safety Car with red light bars.

  • This car, the McLaren P1 GTR '16, Ferrari 512BB '76 and the Renault Sport Mégane R.S. Trophy Safety Car are the only non-Gr.4/Gr.3 cars that can have the light covers changed. In case of the Crown Safety Car, it changes the color of the light bars.
    • The Yellow setting (Type B in GT7) on this car changes the light bars' color to red instead of yellow, as used in Japanese police cars, of which this car is based. The extra mirrors (on the exterior left-hand side, as well an inside leaning to the front passenger) is also reminiscent of these police cars.
  • This car, alongside the Renault Sport Mégane R.S. Trophy Safety Car and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car were originally going to be N-class cars (this and the Renault being N300, and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car being N700). This was quickly changed to Gr.X to match the other safety cars.
