Trivia[]
- This is the only Toyota Supra JGTC car from Gran Turismo 4 to not return in later Gran Turismo games.
- The reason for its absence is most likely due to licensing issues related to the Esso brand, as later games only featured the Exxon-sponsored versions of Esso-sponsored cars in all regions, until the additions of the Honda NSX CONCEPT-GT '16 in GT Sport and the Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 in GT7.
- Rival games Enthusia Professional Racing and the first Forza Motorsport have featured a 2003 version of this car with Exxon branding, with later Forza Motorsport titles up to the fourth game featuring a 2005 version as the Exxon Superflo Supra. In contrast, R: Racing Evolution featured the Esso branding on the 2002 specification car, irrespective of the region.
