"A road runs over this mountain."
―In-game description

The Trial Mountain 2 Hour Endurance is an Endurance Race in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. As its name implies, the event consists of a 2-hour race around the tricky and demanding Trial Mountain Circuit.

Overview[]

In this event, you will be racing against unmodified production cars. All of your opponents are driving Japanese imports, including a Mazda RX-7 Types RZ, a Honda NSX Type S Zero '99, some Nissan Skylines, etc. To remain competitive, the R34 Skyline is recommended, as are Super-Hard racing tires, though you may use any car you deem suitable for the event.

The Honda NSX Type S Zero '99 and Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) '99 are the opposition to be watchful of due to their agility and speed, but both cars pit very early on. The Mazda RX-7 isn't as fast, but it stays on the track for upwards of 20 laps. You can get 70-80 laps out of this race in the allotted 2 hours. Using a powerful road car such as the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C5 '00, the Jaguar XJ220 '92, the Dodge Viper GTS '99 or the Pagani Zonda C12S '00 you can win this race in a breeze.
